6pm at Village Studios & Gallery.

The Far West End Business Association (formerly known as Pendleton Sreet Arts District Business Association) meeting for 2012 will be on the second Tuesday of each month. Held in the Village Studios and Gallery, the meeting begins promptly at 6:00 and generally lasts one hour. Any buisness owner or resident in the Village of West Greenville is welcome to attend the meeting.

The association seeks to "preserve the historic significance of the area, promote local business and present thriving art community to the world."

The Village of West Greenville

Located on Pendleton Street, just a half mile west of Academy Street, this quaint little community is home to a variety of small businesses and shops. One of the main attractions of the Village is the rapidly growing Far West End (formerly known as Pendleton Street Arts District).

The Village of West Greenville is located in
Far West End and is home to more than forty local artists. In this three-to-four block arts district, you'll find painters, potters, fabric aritists, photographers, sculptors and much more. Whatever the medium, there is something for everyone.

First Fridays of every month offers the public the opportunity to join our local gallery crawl. Many of the artists have their studios open from 6:00-9:00 on those Friday evenings. Click on the link for a list of FF artists specific to Far West End.

For your convience, there is plenty of free parking close to the studios.

It's an exciting place. Come see for yourself.

ART SHOWS:

TERRI at Artisan Traders says: "Okay, so I erred, I thought last month’s weather was perfect, but actually I think this is the month for perfection!  So do it again; join us this Friday from 6pm to 9pm as the artists in the area open their studios. Come in relax, eat, drink, and stroll through more local, fun, creations."
 
At Artisan Traders, we’ll have:
 
· Twelve local artists showing off paintings, drawings, photography, wood, metal, and glass sculptures, carvings, and furniture, ice sculptures: Carol Sloan, Dianna St. Edwin Hutchison, Laurent, Donna Landau, Jim Greene, Rory Curtis, Steve Weaver,  Syprian Harvey, and five new pieces by the LOMA team.
 
· The Catering Cru will be serving BBQ ribs, hoppin john rice, shrimp and grits, a medley of veggies, salad, and coffee/tea at the ridiculous price of $7 for everything!
 
· Art Eats Bakery will be offering their fabulous complimentary cakes!
 
· Rich Giersch will entertain us with his acoustic folk rock; some classics mixed with some original sounds.
 
· Upstate Wedding and Event Services will provide a beer and wine cash bar
